MUSICAL BIOGRAPHY OF IMPERIAL BROWN

ORIGINS and the Present Time

The Singer and Musician who is now known as Imperial Brown, was formerly known as Bluesman Charlie Brown, referring to the Peanuts character of the same name. Charlie had the same experiences as Anwar Bilal, and adopted the alias of Charlie Brown recognizing similarities with the cartoon character, who seemed to be followed by Bad Luck, experiencing Hardships, Bad Luck, and Disappointments in his dealings with everyday routine of school, relations with others (especially poor luck with girls). Charlie Brown was the prime example and prototype of a Social Misfit. Charlie did not sing or perform much, but Blues and Music that was popular with Black People he did enjoy. Most famous was his rendition of “Sweet Sixteen” at the first recorded Live Concert at Jax’s on 79th Street. As referenced in the Bio of Anwar, Charlie Brown took a long hibernation from musical activity up until early this year of 2020. A new acquaintance, a Female Model/Yoga Teacher whom I met at a Moon Ceremony at the Yoga organization I was associated with, was sponsoring an event at a brewery/lounge/club on Chicago’s South Side. I attended and enjoyed seeing this beautiful woman in motion, the yoga, the conversation, and even the Beer. During a conversation with one of the participants, I remarked about the Beer I was drinking, which was called IMPERIAL BROWN. I told the woman I was talking to about my renewed interest in Music and in the course of the conversation said that “Imperial Brown” would be a good name for a singer. I agreed, so at that moment Charlie Brown became IMPERIAL BROWN. I also wear this name in recognition of the Royalty of GOD and Myself as a Child and Agent of GOD. GOD is the One Revealing and releasing the Creativity that has been shown during 2020.

With the recent help of My Cousin Bluesman GEROD RAYBORN and Music Producer JAMES JACKSON from ECKO RECORDS, IMPERIAL BROWN has already released several “Monster” Hits, including DON’T CALL THE LAW, DON’T CALL JODY, CHECKING YOU OUT and PREPARE FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD.
